Second Chance Ranch is a family owned farm established in 2024 located in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.
Hilary & Kevin, the founders and owners, are no strangers to Second Chances. Hilary is passionate about helping others as an advocate for people in recovery, celebrating over 15 years of sobriety herself. Kevin brings his dedication and resilience to our mission as a Marine Corps Veteran who served his country in Iraq and continues to serve his community as a first responder for over twenty years.
Together with their boys, they are now living their dream life surrounded by animals and plenty of land.
When they moved to the ranch they knew nothing about horses or owning acres of land. But God had a plan.
There was a horse named Final on the property when they moved in and they wanted to find him a friend.
That's when their mission was born.
Their first rescue horse, lovingly named Rescue, was pulled from slaughter 15 minutes before loading onto the truck. To date they have rescued four horses from slaughter along with their other animals that at a better life, just as we’ve been given a second chance in our own lives.
Guided by faith and a commitment to making a difference, in 2025 we created the Second Chance Ranch Foundation. The Second Chance Ranch Foundation is a registered 501c(3) Non-Profit with a mission of rescuing animals and using their incredible abilities to serve those in need in the veteran and first responder communities.
